Car Washer

Lately my brain ability to process things is a bit slow, so I take quite sometime to get out from the car, get my things from the car boot, and started to walk towards the lift.
One day I arrived home very late, when I was still taking things from my car boot, suddenly there was a man approaching me, and said,"Good evening ma'am".
Luckily I was in a stupid mode, so I was not shock at all with his sudden presence. He asked me," I can help you to wash your car everyday, Monday to Friday".
I am not too keen with the car washer at the carpark, because I experienced that the paint work would be damaged by their wipes...so I prefer to wash at the car wash in the petrol kiosk.
But I know I can't say this things to him, so I just sheepishly said with my best smile,"Oh no thanks, I have somebody washing my car in the office".
But he knew I lie, because my car's rim is very dirty and he kept on staring at them *sigh*
So he said,"Why don't you let me wash your car?"
I said," Oh well may be next month".
He was still staring at my car's rim and said,"I'll give you my number ma'am, please call me".
I took it and put it inside my bag...
A few days later I met him again when I arrived home late...he ran to me and said,"Hey ma'am, why you haven't called me?"
I said," Errr....the month hasn't ended, right?"
He said," Don't forget to call me next month..."
Oh man...eversince that insident, I was playing hide and seek with him.
I am trying my best to avoid him, so if I saw him when I enter the carpark, I would just leave my belongings in the car and run into the lift as soon as possible...

Taxi

One day I had to take Taxi down to a place call "One North" which is relatively quite a new area in Singapore. After I got the taxi, I went in and I said politely,"Hi, can you bring me to One North, please?"
Taxi Driver:"Huh?"
I repeated:"I want to go to One North, please"
Taxi Driver:"Huh? Where?"
I tried to think very hard, and I said,"It is somewhere in Buona Vista".
Taxi Driver:"Huh?"
I was thinking whether he had a hearing problem...but I repeated slowly,"Buona Vista".
The he said,"Oh Buona Vista...South or North?"
I said,"North"
Then I tried to explain how to go there in my half past six Chinese (my friend used to say that towards my broken Chinese) and patched up with the best Singlish that I could speak...
Finally, when we reached Buona Vista, then he asked again, "How? Turn where?"
Me,"Go straight, then 2 more traffic light turn right".
Suddenly to my surprise he said,"Oh One North, ah?"
I am speechless.... *tepok jidat*
Kemane ajeeee tuh orang *banging my head again the front seat*

Renungan Indah - W.S. Rendra

Renungan Indah - W.S. Rendra

Seringkali aku berkata, Ketika semua orang memuji milik-ku
Bahwa sesungguhnya ini hanyalah titipan
Bahwa mobilku hanyalah titipan-Nya
Bahwa rumahku hanyalah titipan-Nya
Bahwa hartaku hanyalah titipan-Nya
Bahwa putraku hanyalah titipan-Nya

Tetapi, mengapa aku tak pernah bertanya:
Mengapa Dia menitipkan padaku ???

Aku rajin beribadah, maka selayaknyalah derita menjauh dariku,
dan nikmat dunia kerap menghampiriku.

Kuperlakukan Dia seolah mitra dagang, dan bukan kekasih
Kuminta Dia membalas "perlakuan baikku",

Thursday

Well...by right it's officially Friday now, but anyway...

It used to be my favourite day as well, it's a official shopping day in Sydney, where the shops close at 9 pm instead of 6 pm on normal day. It's kind of perfect timing as I received pay cheque on Wednesday and go shopping on Thursday...

Shopping day, where else to go? Of course Pitt St mall, which equivalent to Singapore version of Orchard Rd. I don't shop all the time, my favourite is watching the performance of String Quartet outside Grace Brothers' Building (not it becomes Myer's), which played famous classical song.

They normally performed on late autumn until early spring, where the weather still slightly cold. I've never got bored listening to them. I will stay there no matter how cold the weather is, until my flatmate dragged me for dinner, while imagining it would be wonderful if sometime later I would be able to stand there, listening to the same group, playing the same music with the prince of my life. My favourites of course "Canon in D".

The things that I still keep on thinking until now, why they only perform during cold period?

Wednesday

Used to be my favourite day of the week when I was still studying in Sydney, simply just because it's a pay day *yayyyy*

Will take the train or bus to Circular Quay...walking in a hurry towards that building which name I've forgotten already, but I still look for the same building every time I come to Sydney, but too bad the company is no longer there...

Waiting impatiently for my name to be called and in the same time hoping to see that cute manager which smile could even melt the snow at the tip of Mount Everest...by the way where is that guy now...I wonder...

Comparing the pay cheque and the next shift that we got....cursing to the max if we couldn't have any shift for Saturday Night or public holiday (just because the pay is double).

Walking happily in groups, chatting and singing all the way to the bank to drop the pay cheque, continued with having coffee together, dinner or sometimes movie...

How I wish I could turn back the time when life was soooo much simpler then...

Murphy's Law

I've posted about Murphy's Law quite sometimes back, but yet it keeps on happenings to me. I am just wondering how is the mechanism work in logical point of view, because what I am experiencing right now is not something that I face directly.

It was indirect contact somewhow, but yet it could happened. If it's a direct contact it still does make sense in a way, may be people see "the not so nice face", so people started to abuse you, that's logical...

For the indirect contact...well I am still trying to squeeze my brain out to think about it...anybody can help?

Sergio Alvaro

He is a 7 years old boy, very bright, funny and innocent. I always like talking to him, he is very entertaining. He is not like the average boys at his age, he is very mature, but yet funny.
Interacting with hime for the past 1 week, taught me a lots of things in life that I used to take for granted.
I've never been visited a children wards before. The experience of visiting the children wards, especially the ICU, is quite a traumatic experience for me. I've never expected the children could suffer from all kinds of disease that the children are not deserved. I just can't understand why he has to go through all these sufferings.
I thought everything is gonna be allright after the tumour removal operation, but yet the doctor said they only removed part of the tumour, and yet another problems arised.
I just can hope and pray that he's gonna be allright...and may God strengthen the whole family, especially the parents.
