Karaoke Nite

It's not my karaoke nite though...
Every last Saturday of the month, RC holds the karaoke nite at the coffeeshop behind my block...
If they sing well, it's ok, but sometime the tempo is not right...
The worst, the voice is very extremely terrible, but yet they still sing confidently *sigh*
I always try my best to escape during karaoke nite, and try to come back as late as possible...
But today is not that bad though..

January Summary

One word to describe: busy....
Can make to words actually: bloody busy..
January is not only busy to describe, but also full of bloody surprise..
Since it was abloody busy month, it made the bloody surprises not too shocking...

Started with the news of Mike passed away...
Yeah that Mike, the flair bartender, he gave me 2 shocking news in my life..
First, he won he flair championship, then work at Planet Hollywood Sydney..
Second, and the last one, he passed away and the body was found in the garbage bin..
Still fresh inside my mind the memory of him and Cumi practising flair at their place...
How they annoyed the neighbour when they practised..
How they put "fererro rocher" at the neighbour door..
And how they took back the fererro rocher and eat themselves...
Going to George St cinema, 4 of us...
The day I did fall a sleep thru the movie...
Well..that's a beautiful memory that we share together...
Good bye Mike, my friend...even though a bit too late...

Another news, Din's grandma passed away in Cirebon...
Next news, Jane got appendix..
The last news so far for the months of January, one of friend broke up with her boyfriend..

Well...don't know what to say...the first news made me shocked enough, so the rest just normal....

Today I went to Prima Revolving Restaurant, the view quite fantastic, but i felt it rotated a bit faster compared with Cafe Jalan Jalan (Jakarta), and Sydney AMP tower..sometimes can be jerking as well...
The food, overall quite nice, especially the peking duck...yummm...

Ms Dracula

Today is the cardiologist day.
Well..as I met a cute doctor in A&E last Saturday, then now I got a quite fierce cardiologist *takut*
Anyway everything is normal, Thank God, from the ECG, heart scan etc...
Only I had to do a blood test, then it was very painful
CC said the needle was about 1 inch plus inside my arm
Over there had another grandma that supposed to have another blood test
She kept on mumbling to the receptionist in Chinese, saying that this nurse blood not good.
As the previous one, the nurse had to tried a few times to get the right vein from that grandma.
Which indeed she did it once for me and said sorry for the needle....
Well anyway now I'm still stucked in the office, lembur ajeh *hiks*
Dunno what time will finish....bobo di ofis kali ye? *sedih*
Go back to work again la ye......

Lo Hei Party

Today me and CC wanna hold Lo Hei party at our office.
It supposed to be a private party for member only.
The menu are yu sheng (for those who don't know yu sheng, can check jalan sutera at kompas by Bondan Winarno), it's kinda Chinese tradition that do a toss with this food called yu sheng, to hope for good health, good business, good everything la, and everybody shout out loudly to say their wish (which I usually asked for more cute boy friends *lugu*).
But today there was no shouting at all..may be everybody was too hungry to shout *self confession*
Oh ya about the menu, besides yu sheng, i called pizza hut hotline to deliver prosperity pizza (they have this pizza during chinese new year, consist of abon, dendeng, lemon mayonaise, rasanya top banget deh *promosi*, tapi halal kok...) and also KFC reunion dinner package (only for CNY promotion also)...
The drink...sadly speaking there is no red fanta available (CNY mah..so everything has to be red), so substituted with mmm pink clear colour of drinks, i think it's F&N....
We ate until we became stupid because of too much food, but yet still have left over...
Then after that we went up to Jurong Hill, since my party members haven't been there...
After that wanted to continue to Raffles Marina, but too bad in the middle of the way I was feeling extremely unwell, heavy palpitation and hard to breath.. tried to calm me down by buying water, but when reached Raffles Marina I felt worse, felt very weak..then asked all my members to go back to the car, then rushed me to hospital...
Quite embarassing though the good mood had to end by this tragedy, I tought that I couldn't make it.
My friends keep on asked me to hang on, while CC tried his best to speed the car to get to the hospital soon.
But my friends keep on telling me why I felt sick but still be able to smile and joke, which actually I also tried to calm my self down, imagine, palpitation, hard to breathe, then my nails turning to pale pink and going to be white , how panick I was and so were my friends.
Finally arrived at Gleneagles hospital then rushed in and I told the nurse about my condition, just in case I collapsed before my turn came up, but also not forgetting I said I have no fever because I mentioned I had difficulty to breathe, I don't want them to judge me as having SARS though...
I can see all my friends face were very tense, then I did the ECG, then the doctor saw me then his conclusion is I am normal, nothing serious, I got anxiety attack, because I am under a lots of stress...
I felt sorry for my friends for today happening, special thanks to CC, Petrus, Maria and Widya for accompanying me to the hospital...sorry to make all of you worry but anyway you're all a very great friends though...promise next time try not to have this kind of attack anymore *nyengir*

2nd Day of Chinese New Year

It's still public holiday here, most of the shop are still closed.
I've started worked today, lots of work to do
Lots of headaches as well, life is so hard and strange
When you were still a little kid, you wanted very much to grow up
When you grew up then you wanted very much to go back to your childhood again
People changes as the time goes by, that's the theory that everybody knows
But I've never expected the changes around me are very extra tremendous
Listening to "I will survive" by Cake, I keep on telling my self to survive this battle
Will I???

Happy Lunar New Year

Happy Lunar New Year everyone!!!!
I received sms today which said:
This monkey wish you..year year got fish..horse come succeed..out in safe..100 do 100 win..$god come.. got health got wealth! gong xi gong xi!
For you that have a Chinese background will understand the meaning which is actually derived from the Chinese words of wisdom.
First time I read I only understand the "year year got fish", and I suspected that it's something to do with wise rhyme, then I double checked with my CC, then it's confirmed. Well, you know, my Chinese is only up to survival kits, further than that I'll use my sign language or usually just give my broadest, sweetest smile :)
Last night I went to China Town to see the firework, well, not really sure whether they would have it for CNY, but anyway since after the reunion dinner CC just confidently told my parents so, then I didn't have any choice :) Luckily I still brought my camera plus 1 roll of film, even though I didn't take any photo during reunion dinner, you know, the food were so yummy until I didn't have a heart to leave my plate to take photo *senyum licix*
Then this time around we made the right decision starting from where to park, where to stand and wait, even CC went extra miles by asking the cute policeman where was the firework placed confidently regardless it was true got firework or not *5 thumbs up*
We stood at the junction in front of China Town point, and waited for about 50 mins plus, which I was quite surprise my parents didn't raise any objection this time *wink* This time the fire crackers were more compared with opening ceremony, until i felt tired to wait for it's lasted, then the firework, phew...finally they know how to make a good firework, and the finale was so impressive, but don't compare with the Sydney one though...but overall I gave 3.5 thumbs up for the fireworks.
Before the firework started I accompanied my Dad to look for Gents, as everywhere closed, and Dad didn't want to go to Hotel 81, so we went down to ChinaTown MRT station, inside there, I was having a panicked attack seeing so many people inside the undergound station, especially when the MRT just arrived, then I also saw some of them quite upset because one of the exit point was closed for exit.
For those who are Indonesian, I think you'll probably have the same feeling as I felt when you see crowds, remember all the riots, demos, pickpockets malings rampoks jambrets surveillance, etc etc la...
Finally my Dad finished his nature call, then we went up, on the way up, we saw a group of bule who keep on shouting Gong Xi Fa Cai happily to everybody, well...this is Singapore man...that one will not work well though :)
Unlucky me, when I was busy taking shoots of the fireworks, my film finished *sedih*, but don't worry la...still have my Dad video cam though, nanti kan bisa nebenk euy *senyum licix lagi*
Then as I mentioned before that we took the right parking space, so we didn't face any traffic jam at all to go home after the firework...
I slept about 2 am then woke up because of my handphone ringing, it was my cousin who tried to ring my mom's hp but she didn't want to pick it up (that's my mom's habits will not pick her hp up if have me around *sigh*).
Then made calls, mostly for my beloved friends overseas *hiks* and one of them forced me to write longer for today blog which I am doing now...so Agnes...satisfied? *grinned*
Breakfast, I ate bak kwa...I still can't understand what's the connection between bak kwa (bhs kampungnye dendeng) with CNY, ate all the CNY stuffs that my from my mom's warehouse *senyum manis* kuaci, kacang, kue, etc2...sekarang perut gua agak buncit kayak winnie the pooh...Lunch also made me too full as well *sigh* festive season always make me like this...
Now try to force my self to take a nap first....till then Have a wonderful and blessed year ahead....
Last but not least, my friend sms-ed me this morning or yesterday *forgot though* said that you have to stop eating the grass, as the year of goat has ended, and try to learn to enjoy banana, as the monkey coming :)
