Last nite me and CC went to the Stella Artois Starlight Cinema, they played "Love Actually". I'd been longing to see the Starlight Cinema since last year, but yet finally I made it this year, thanks to Starbucks that gave me free ticket to admit 2 persons for the cinema.
It was written that we suppose to bring mat, and we could have a picnic there, but we ate our dinner first after finished my doctor appointment which still gave us plenty of time before the movie started, and we also didn't bring any mat with us, which made us sat on the grass *kasian nggak sih???*
Even though we had had our dinner, we still bought a kettle chips and 2 bottles of mineral water for our logistics though.
Arriving at the event, our hand were chopped, reminded me of going to DUFAN, but I was wandering why there was nothing at all on my arm, curiously I asked, they said it was UV chop *kampungan bener ye gue*
Anyway until now I'm still thinking is it really UV chop? *bener2 kampungan*
After we sat down, my mind replay back my childhood in Jakarta, usually this kind of thing that we call "Layar Tancep" is usually held during wedding, then a lots of hawker will also come and take the opportunity to sell their food stuff to the people who come to see the movie.
For this one, they also have some booths which sell stella artois beer of course as the main sponsor, and also Evian, Wall's Ice cream, and Jiffy the van food people, where you could get hot dogs, popcorn, etc...
There was a little fun incident, as we sat there, less then 1 metre from our place was a "Singaporean typical auntie", you know the one that quite hmmm..."siong" (rese-red), and busy talking on the phone, and we suspected she had to mark the place for her "Khaki" (gang-red).
After a long time the group arrived, and one of them wanted to sit in another place, so the auntie gave her the mat and let busy asking to the rest of the group to decide where to sit.
Suddenly one couple arrived and stand about half a metre from the auntie's mat, but the other auntie that quite "Siong" told that man off and said that place belonged to their group. Aiyoh....where got such thing? *ya nggak?* They were not eeven standing on that place that she claimed belongs to her group...but finally that auntie furiously tried her best to chase away the couple by spreading another mat over there. Unfortunately the man only said," Cool down, no need to be so pushy." then they walked off....
Really typical Singaporean behaviour, isn't it? and after the movie about to start, that "Siong" auntie still busy talking, just wandering she came there to see movie or gossiping? haizzz....
But aniway the film quite crazy and quite refreshing....and at the end of the show my buttocks really felt pain and flattened, the good news is no mosquitos at all.....
